Community arts center to open two exhibitions

On Friday night, two shows open at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center with receptions beginning at 6 p.m. The Texas Artists Coalition membership exhibit has 35 pieces from 20 artists. The works were selected by Dallas gallery owner Barry Whistler, and awards will be presented at 7:30 p.m. The second show consists of 33 works from the Ruiz Healy collection of Oaxacan art and is sponsored by the Cultural Center of the Americas and the Mexican Consulate as part of the ongoing celebration of Mexico's bicentennial of independence and the centennial of the revolution.
